Demogorgons, a Shadow Monster and Will’s back to the Upside Down. This is Stranger Things Season two! The onset of the new season has been highly anticipated with fans waiting for the return of our adorable cast members, Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Will (Noah Schnapp), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Eggo waffle lovin’ Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown)! With recurring cast members Joyce (Winona Ryder), Hopper (David Harbour), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), and Steve (Joe Keery) and with the addition of several new protagonists and antagonists as well as a new threat from the Upside Down (as hinted at the end of season one).

Season two takes place one year after the events of season one and the disappearance of Eleven. Right off the nail covered baseball bat (see what I did there?), things are already looking strange for the characters on Halloween. All leading somewhat normal lives and sworn to secrecy (of course this is discussed more in depth later on), with Will developing a strong connection to the Upside Down. As the season progresses through all nine of its episodes or Chapters, the audience eventually sees this connection as well as insight into Hopper and Elevens pasts, reunions, and of course, the imminent danger of a new creature known as the Shadow Monster (later know as the Mind Flayer thanks to Dustin).

Overall, the new season bears all that we fans hoped for, saw the return of our beloved characters. And created even more questions!

If you have not gotten into Stranger Things yet, I recommend checking it out! I mean, who doesn’t love a good sci-fi/fantasy 80’s show about a group of misfits and an Eggo Waffle addict?
