Girls Varsity Soccer Playoff Games

The Girls Varsity Soccer Team went into the first game for playoffs on October 27, 2016 as the #7 team in the state. They played that game against the #10 team in the state, the Milford Spartans. The game went on even though it was down-pouring, causing the field to become more slippery than normal.

Angie Caldwell made several saves despite the pouring rain and playing without glasses. Milford attempted many more shots on goal than Goffstown. With 10 minutes left in the first half,  Alexa Skinner scored GHS’s first goal. Another goal was scored by the Grizzlies in the first half with 2:51 left on the clock by #14, Quinn Romein.

On October 30, 2016 the Girls soccer team went to Bow high school to play against the Bow Falcons. The Game was a rough game and fans could sense the tension was high between both teams even with it only being the 2nd playoff game. Sarah McGlauflin was even sensing some of the tension in the game and said “It was a great game,”.

The game went into two overtime regulations and still no one had scored but the tension was definitely present on both teams.

In the shoot-out both teams put forward a fight and Angie Caldwell made some amazing saves but Goffstown lost and is now out of the playoffs by losing the game 1-2.
