On the Thursday before the homecoming assembly, Senior class president Hayden Gregoire and Senior vice president Lily Koeppel reflected on Goffstown High School’s upcoming homecoming assembly. Hayden Gregoire has spent one year in office and Lily Koeppel has spent four years in office. The committee has been working very hard on Homecoming every Tuesday and five hours a week to make it the best it can be for everyone at GHS.
Homecoming is about school spirit, coming together, and being a part of something. This year’s homecoming students can look forward to class dances, a super special surprise, judges, and better games for everyone to play as president Hayden Gregoire says “ because he’s in it”. Lily and Hayden are expecting way more participation this year, especially from the seniors compared to last year where the participation was more difficult to receive from the students because they didn’t know what a homecoming assembly was like or entailed due to COVID-19 in the previous years. Both Lily and Hayden are sad that this is their last year but super excited for Homecoming.
Homecoming is filled with community building and both Lily and Hayden say their favorite part of Homecoming is the assembly. Homecoming is definitely one of the school year’s highlights. According to Lily Koeppel “Homecoming is a one chance thing and you get to be a part of something.”

Homecoming is definitely a experience and a good one to have in highschool, this story sums up that even though we( seniors this year) had no homecoming freshman or sophomore year and we still made such a good effort to make it a good experience for everyone and all the help of all the student council made it all happen and hopefully next year’s senior will keep the school spirit going.
