Sunflower Sunflower
Sunflower, sunflower, where have you gone?
Taking the sunshine with you,
Where is my light?
Shall I stay shrouded in darkness?
Isolated in my heart and mind
An eternity of wandering
Sunflower, sunflower, where have you gone?
You disappeared when I needed you the most,
When my heart was torn in two,
My sun,
Your petals,
Not wilted nor withered, but taken.
Sunflower, sunflower, where are you going?
I’ll watch you go as the darkness sets
You left,
Leaving behind only a puff of smoke,
The last trace of what I called,
“Happiness.”
Sunflower Sunflower, where did you go?
