Webb Recognized as NH Counselor Of the Year

On March 29, 2018 GHS guidance counselor John Webb was awarded the New Hampshire Counselor of the year award. This award is only given to counselors who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and a phenomenal ability to work with students. John Webb has worked to create mental health interventions as well as create a positive and safe environment for students at GHS. In addition to these achievements, Webb has been the advisor for countless clubs, such as Gender Straight Alliance club and Peer Outreach.

Webb has been a counselor at Goffstown High School for many years and has continuously been a favorite among students. Webb was nominated to be this year’s recipient of this award as he demonstrated qualities as a counselor, sharing positivity and kindness wherever he goes.

Mr. McDermott and Mrs. Joyce Lewis wrote letters of recommendation, sharing kind words about Webb at the ceremony which also included an eloquent and heartwarming speech given by McBride. Mr. Webb’s family also attended, sharing support and giving him heartfelt congratulations.
