Goffstown’s U-10 Boys Soccer Team Wins!!

On October 8th-9th, 2022, the Goffstown United U-10 boys team competed in the Capitol Cup in Pembroke, NH, hosted by Seacoast United. In their division, division three, and in their bracket, bracket A, they won first place out of four. Game one was against Nashua, where Goffstown won 3-2. The second game was against Bow, both teams played competitively, but Goffstown came out in the end winning 2-1. The last game was against Fremont, where Goffstown took the field and became the dominant team of the game, winning 6-0.

The games were coached by coach Damien Belanger (primary coach) and coach Jon Gaudette (secondary coach), whom guided the boys to victory. “It was a great weekend, where the team played exceptionally well. They earned it.” said coach Belanger, “The positive environment created by the supporters was a huge help.” The captain of the tournament, Dominic Belanger, helped lead his team to victory, showing great leadership skills and communication skills. Together, the team really showed what Goffstown in made of. After making Goffstown proud, the boys were rewarded with medals.
