The Mighty Queen Has Fallen

News of The Queen of England’s death has shook most. At the admirable age of 96 is pretty impressive. Although she was considerably healthy for a little old lady, she still died so suddenly after being put on a health watch just hours before. Queen Elizabeth was one of the most beloved queens although the ups and down in her career she was still loved. But of course you all know this and before you quit reading this silly article let’s talk about the beloved queen’s life before her death, maybe you’ll learn something new.

Queen Elizabeth married her third cousin prince Phillip when she was 21 in 1947 and later had four children. Her children, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Prince Charles. She claimed the throne in 1952 and ruled for 70 years until she passed. Her other three children, Prince Andrew, princess Anne, and Prince Edward. Prince Edward was the duke of Wessex and Prince Andrew was the Duke of York. Her daughter princess Anne, surprisingly isn’t actually in line for the throne, but according to royal custom, the throne would go to the first male baby even if he is younger than the first born. So it seems that there will now be a King of England, how fascinating. But it can only be told with time whether he will be as good as his mother. In addition to this, it should be known that “Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country.”(Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) She had also had many grandchildren, 8 to be exact. Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Lady Louise Windsor, James, Viscount Severn and Prince William.

Back in the earlier years of our world, rulers had more power than they do today. Although Queen Elizabeth couldn’t do some of the things rulers did back then she did still have some power. First of all she had the highest legislative authority in the United Kingdom, and of course the crown. Plus the queen’s speech, appointing a government, opening and dissolving parliament, and the royal assent, so to all of the people who say “the queens so lame she didn’t have any power” or “queens just a title blah blah blah” she DID as a matter of fact have power. But being a writer like myself, I am completely biased. I’m just stating the facts. These aren’t her only powers though, she has some other fairly strange ones. One of these such strange powers is that she can’t be prosecuted or sued. The queen is above the law and can get away with anything, and on top of this but it’s actually illegal to sue her so you would be fined or worse. Talk about overpowering. Seems like she is more overpowered than those hackers wrecking you in Fortnite. One of her other powers is that in England if you own land, you pay her rent. But not always in money, some strange but acceptable payments to her were “The owner of Fowlis pays their rent by delivering a snowball to the queen mid-summer. And the city of Gloucester pays its rent by way of a giant eel pie.”( Jessie Quinn  | More Articles: Royal family) Elizabeth is also the only person in England allowed to eat swans. But the real question is, did she actually eat them….In addition to this she is in charge of an entire religion, and is the head of the church in England. Wow this lady keeps busy. And lastly she actually has the power to fire all of Australia’s government. Guess they had to stay on their toes.

Although the loss of a brilliant woman like Queen Elizabeth, she will always be remembered. And now she will have cool memories too, because it is doubtful that many people will remember her by the fact that she is the only one in England allowed to eat swans. But now they will. Long live the queen, and hopefully her swans too….
