Goffstown girls’ varsity soccer beat Dover at home, 2-0. On October 6, 2023 girls’ soccer claimed their seventh win of the season.
During the first half of the game, freshman Elle Lavalliere scored the first goal 12 minutes into the game. Following halftime, sophomore Rose Houde scored the second and final goal with 16 minutes left of the game. The team worked well together and supported one another throughout the game.
At half time, spectator Gracie Janowski and Goffstown JV soccer player mentioned that, “We have a really strong defense.” She acknowledged the early lead and hoped they’d continue to keep it. The team communicated well throughout the whole game and according to Lavalliere, they connected passes a lot quicker and cleaner.
Lavalliere, one of the proud two freshmen on varsity, explains how she believes the team played well this game. She expresses her feelings on the team’s success saying, “Today was definitely an improvement for us. We had a lot of really good opportunities going forward and attacking.” Lavalliere reflects on her own performance adding that she should work on being more present on the right side of the field and improve her finishing. The game ended with a great win for Goffstown.
