Do you ever want to scream “NOOOO WHYYY????” at characters when they’re being foolish? If you read Delirium, you should most definitely read it alone or at a football game. When you’re in the mood for blood bumping, heart racing, millions of questions swimming in your head at once, then don’t look past the Delirium series by Lauren Oliver. The mixture of young adult dystopian future, action, mystery and of course some romance is like a perfectly blended milkshake. Just. Perfect. This is by far one of the most impressively written and entertaining book series that I have ever read, and I will gladly read it again. What better than a corrupt government of the future, young outcasts against the world, and everyone around you blind to the truth? It also makes me question MY life. Almost….but there’s no way to actually brainwash an entire country, right? Well if you want to sit down and enjoy some nice romance amidst the chaos, manipulation, and death then boy is Delirium right for you.

As one of my favorite series of all, it would be a crime not to share its glory with you in hopes that you will read and feel the feelings that this wondrous story had brought me. I am a hopeless romantic but that most certainly does not mean I’m boring. I appreciate love the best when it’s under pressure and in the midst of chaos so you know it’s special and real. The best couples are the ones who are against the world, especially in a world where the government tries and takes away from you the literal happiness of a human being. So if you ever have time, pick up this book and read away, and I guarantee that you won’t regret it.
