Goffstown FBLA has had a busy start to the year. One significant focus of FBLA is participating in state officer projects, and the GHS chapter has been doing an excellent job at keeping up with the seven state officer projects so far. On October 1st, eighteen members attended a suicide awareness walk as part of state officer Annie Martino’s project. The group was also able to raise $370 towards the cause. As FBLA continues through the year, the hope is to participate in many more opportunities for state officer projects.
The GHS chapter has also revamped the school store. On October 5th, the store held a grand opening at open house and has enjoyed success with visits from the student body. The new store hosts new merchandise and popcorn available every day at lunch. The store accepts cash and card.
Workshops and conferences offer FBLA members the opportunity to demonstrate their accomplishments to other chapters, advisors, and state officers. On October 19th over 40 students attended New Hampshire FBLA’s Fall Leadership Workshop. Here, GHS was awarded with the Gold Seal Chapter Award for the second year in a row and second place for largest amount of money raised for the NH Food Bank.
