The theater was packed with people; all very polite and happy to be there. The stage was filled with joy, jokes, fun, and mystery. Will Conley (Senior) sat in the full audience of the Goffstown High School’s theater enjoying the High school’s annual fall play with this year being the production of Clue.
On November 2nd and 3rd Goffstown High school presented the production of Clue. Senior Cavan Doherty played “Professor Plum” in the play and has been doing theater since freshman year. The cast had been rehearsing and preparing for these two nights since late September to put on a great show. The goal was to have two successful nights for the audience and that’s what they did.
Clue is based on the famous board game that would be described as, according to Cavan, “A young-adult funny murder mystery.” Maybe rated as pg-13 due to a few adult related jokes according to Will. “Still definitely worth seeing it though” from Will.
Clue had not one but multiple murders with each main character guilty for killing a person in the play such as the cop and the cook. Cavan says, “The best part of clue was the cast-bonding and working to really perfect their lines.”
Senior Will Conley attended the opening night and was very pleased with the show. He said, “It was good, it had good comedy.” Overall, he rated it an 8.5. He claimed, “The usage of comedy and lighting was good, I just wish there were more clear set changes but overall, it was good.” Cavan (Professor Plum) also says it went really well. He claims, “It was a bumpy road to get there but it ended up great!”
