On a normal day, junior Ayre London wakes up, goes back to sleep, then decides she does need to actually get up for school. After a short scroll on her phone, she gets out of bed and looks in the mirror. Then she takes a shower. When she’s done, she gets dressed. She also does her makeup. She takes out her dog, Deano. On her way to school, Ayre stops at Starbucks or Dunkin, depending on the day. After that, Ayre’s day only gets busier.
Ayre claims to be a “triple threat,” since she has work, school, and a sport. She plays softball for the GHS team. Her positions are 3rd and 1st base and bats fifth. She started playing softball ten years ago, and hasn’t quit yet. Ayre is also involved in some clubs.
As the president of Peer Outreach/Student Ambassadors, she helps fight against suicide, and drug and alcohol abuse. The group volunteers and donates to families in need. Ayre has been the president of Peer Outreach/Student Ambassadors since her sophomore year, when she was elected. She will remain president through her senior year. Her freshman year, she was the club’s historian. She is also involved in Youth Forum.
After school, she eats dinner, does her homework, and talks to her friends. On Mondays and Thursdays, Ayre also goes to work at Pressed Cafe in Bedford.
Ayre London wants to become a forensic psychologist as an adult, similar to Harley Quinn before becoming a villain. Ayre wants to “understand the mind of a serial killer.” She also wants to write a book. Specifically, she wants to write a book about her research and discoveries in forensic psychology. She also wants to major in English. Mrs. O’Keefe, who taught Ayre English 10 Honors and Acting & Directing, thinks that this makes sense for Ayre due to her caring nature and curiosity.
Ayre is known to be energetic and kind. When she took Acting & Directing, Mrs. O’Keefe found it “fun to watch her jump in and play a part.” It is clear that Ayre wants to think more deeply about people. Mrs. O’Keefe says “sometimes she cannot have as much confidence in her abilities as a writer [as she should].”
