Environmental club is a club at Goffstown High School that helps students learn more about our environment that’s around us. The club goes to a competition called Envirothon which is in May and competes against twelve other schools on their knowledge about aquatic ecology, forestry, soil and land use, wildlife, and a current environmental issue in our world.
This club is mostly student run. Students step up to teach the other club members and the teachers about all of the topics. The club is run by Mr. Veilleux, and Dr. Houghton. Every Thursday we meet during our lunch period in room 111 to discuss each one of the topics more in detail. Everyone is very hardworking, putting their own time into learning new topics.
Come join the club throughout your high school years to help the impact of our environment. If you like taking your time learning new topics, and having it student run, then this is the club for you. You never know if you can do things until you try to accomplish it.
