Goffstown High School freshman Harper Huddy raced in the NHIAA D-I Indoor Track Championship. She placed first in her heat, finishing 6th in the division and 8th overall in the state in the 300 meter race. Huddy hit a PR of 42.91 seconds, an improvement from the previous 43.84 seconds.
The meet took place on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at the George Davis Track at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. Huddy scored one point for Goffstown at the event.
To qualify for this meet, she had to have a time of 47.5 seconds or faster and to be in the top ranking athletes with those times in the state. Her main goal going into the meet was to simply not get last place. She feels she did well in the meet. Huddy hopes to one day beat a school record.
Huddy started running track in fifth grade, but has always been active. She chose to do indoor track because she “wanted to do track and it’s just another sport to do.” She found it interesting to try the different distances in indoor track compared to outdoor track. As well as both indoor and outdoor track, Huddy plays soccer.
