Jumaira Husin is an exchange student from the Philippines. Many of her friends call her “Jum.” Jumaira is currently a senior at GHS. She is staying for a whole year and living with her host family whom she treats as her real family. Jumaira has two sisters in middle school at Mountain View. She feels there are big differences between her home country and America, but she is adapting and feeling more comfortable with those differences. Jumaira looks forward to a great experience this year. She believes that life is a journey; you don’t know where tomorrow will bring you, so cherish every moment.
